SİGORTA SEKTÖRÜNDE PROJE
YÖNETİMİNİN ÖNEMİ
Proje yönetimi; çeşitli yönetim bilgilerinin,
becerilerinin, araçlarının ve tekniklerinin bir
projenin gereksinimlerini yerine getirmek amacıyla
proje aktivitelerine uygulanmasıdır.
Proje yönetim dünyası dinamik bir yapıya sahiptir.
Değişen ekonomik koşullar, teknolojik gelişmeler
ve gelişmekte olan iş trendleri organizasyonları
en iyi uygulamaları hayata geçirmesine zorunlu
kılmaktadır. Organizasyonların artık neyi
değil, neyi nasıl yaptığı onlara rekabet avantajı
sağlamaktadır.
Sigorta sektöründe de lider şirketlere baktığımızda
değişen koşullara hızla adapte olabildiklerini,
buna uygun projeler ürettiklerini ve bu projeleri
proje yönetim anlayışıyla hayata geçirdiklerini
görmekteyiz.
Ülkemizde sigorta sektöründe 40 Elementer
(Hayat Dışı), 23 Hayat ve Emeklilik şirketi
bulunmaktadır.
Sektörün bağlı olduğu Hazine Müsteşarlığı’nın
bunun dışında SBM (Sigorta Bilgi ve Gözetim
Merkezi)'nin ve TSB (Türkiye Sigorta Birliği)’nin
istemiş olduğu regülatif değişiklikler ya da
yenilikleri içeren projelerin belirtilen zaman
içerisinde hayata geçirebilmesi ancak proje
yönetim anlayışıyla yerine getirilebilir.
Sektörde dijitalleşme şirketlerin birkaç yıldır
üzerinde durduğu en önemli konu haline gelmiştir.
Bu kapsamda yapılacak tüm projelerin doğru
zamanda ve istenilen tüm ihtiyaçları karşılayacak
şekilde yerine getirilmesi hem iç hem de dış
müşteriyi mutlu edecektir. Bu da konunun
başından sonuna kadar proje yönetimi anlayışı
ile ele alınması ve ilgili tüm paydaşların projeye
dahil edilmesiyle mümkündür. Sigorta sektöründe
yer alan kuruluşların, projelerini PMI Global
Standartları’na uygun olarak yönetmeleri gerek
projelerin, gerekse kurumların etkinliğini ve
başarısını artıracaktır.

IMPORTANCE OF PROJECT
MANAGEMENT IN THE INSURANCE
INDUSTRY
Project management is application of numerous
managerial information, skills, tools and techniques
to project activities in order to fulfill project
requirements.
World of project management has a dynamic
structure. Changing economic conditions,
technological advancements and changing business
trends force organizations to implement the best
practices. Today, what brings competitive advantage
to organizations is not what they do but it is how
they do what they do. And looking at the leading
companies of the insurance industry we see that they
are able to adapt quickly to changing conditions, they
developed projects in line with that and that they
bring to life these projects using the notion of project
management.
In Turkish industry, there are 40 Elementary (Non-
life) insurance companies and 23 Life Insurance and
personal retirement companies. Certain regulatory
changes or improvements have been demanded
by Undersecretariat of Treasury which regulates
the industry as well as by Insurance Information
and Monitoring Center (SBM) and TSB (Insurance
Association of Turkey) and projects that cover these
changes or improvements can be brought to life
within the allotted time with the condition that
project management concept is applied.
Digitalization in the sector has been the main focus
of the insurance companies in recent years. Ensuring
that all projects to be carried out in this area are
realized at the right time and in a manner that would
meet all the needs of stakeholders would make both
internal and external customers happy. And this is
only possible by ensuring that this issue is handled
using project management concept and all related
stakeholders are included in the project. Ensuring that
the organizations in the insurance industry manage
their projects in linewith PMI Global Standardswould
also ensure higher effectiveness and success on the
part of both projects and organizations.
